Carol Barajas is Vice President of Nuclear Projects & Subsequent License Renewal for TVA. Carol was previously assigned to Watts Bar as the VP of U2 WBN Steam
Generator Replacement Project which was successfully completed in the spring of 2022. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. She also completed the Executive Leadership program at UNC Kenan-Flager Business School and completed the Senior Nuclear Plant Manager class at INPO. She is a long-time member of Women in Nuclear (WIN) and serves on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga. Carol has been married to her husband Chris since 1992 and they have two children Gabby (23) and Chase (19). |

Dr. Sandra C. Affare began her pursuit of excellence at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master’s in Business Administration. She obtained her doctorate in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a concentration in Engineering Management from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Dr. Affare is an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Engineering Management and Technology Department in UTC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science.
In her spare time, she enjoys home decorating, preparing culinary cuisines, listening to worship music, and inspirational reading. She is married to Dr. Gabriel Affare, and they have one daughter. The Affare family attend New Covenant Fellowship Church where Drs. Gabriel and Sandra Affare both teach in the Youth Ministry. |
